
During the meeting, Ambassador Gotsurve congratulated Uchral on his election as Speaker of the Great State Hural and Chairman of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP). He also informed the Speaker about the composition of the India-Mongolia Parliamentary Friendship Group, which includes representatives from both houses of the Indian Parliament, and provided relevant materials.
Uchral expressed satisfaction with the growing strategic partnership between Mongolia and India, especially in the economic sphere. He noted the need for further deepening cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries, including parliamentary groups and standing committees.
The Speaker also emphasized the importance of the legal reforms being carried out in Mongolia under the initiative "Чөлөөлөе" (Liberation). He spoke about measures to simplify bureaucratic procedures, align legislation with the Constitution, protect citizens from inflation, as well as support free competition and reform the financial sector.
Uchral expressed confidence that the Great State Hural would support these reforms. He noted that projects being implemented with concessional loans and grants from India, such as the oil refinery project, serve as a symbol of strong friendship and cooperation between the two states. The Speaker also thanked the Indian Parliament and the Ambassador for their contribution to the development of bilateral relations.
Ambassador Gotsurve briefly outlined various economic, educational, and cultural initiatives being implemented under the strategic partnership between Mongolia and India. He noted significant growth in the areas of trade, finance, and agricultural product processing. In addition, he reaffirmed his commitment to initiatives aimed at strengthening ties between the legislative bodies of both countries and expanding international cooperation.
