Parliament Speaker Uchral Nyam-Osor announced the start of an internal fight against corruption within the Mongolian People's Party. This was reported by MiddleAsianNews.

At the recent conference of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP), Speaker Uchral Nyam-Osor announced the decision to expel several prominent members from the party, including former parliament speaker Amarbayasgalan Dashzevge, former deputy speaker Bulgan Tuya Khurelbaatar, former deputy minister of energy Tavinbekh Nansal, and party member Amundra Amartuvshin.

Uchral Nyam-Osor noted: “Corruption permeates all levels of society and poses a serious threat. It even affects aspects such as compliance with fire safety regulations. We must immediately begin the fight against corruption, which is why we are launching an anti-corruption campaign. In this regard, it was decided to expel the following representatives from the ranks of the Mongolian People's Party:

Member of Parliament Amarbayasgalan Dashzevge, who is accused by the prosecutor's office of corruption and abuse of power, as well as former Minister of Energy Tavinbekh Nansal;

Member Bulgan Tuya Khurelbaatar, whose violation of the Constitution was confirmed by the Constitutional Court;

Former member of the Small Khural Amundra Amartuvshin, who formed an inter-party group and repeatedly incited society to chaos, systematically slandered the policies and actions of the Mongolian People's Party, and violated ethical norms and discipline.

We will send a request to the General Supervisory Committee to suspend the membership of these individuals in accordance with the party's charter. Past mistakes cannot serve as an excuse for corrupt actions. We remind you that reinstatement of membership is only possible after a court decision. The Mongolian People's Party aims to cleanse its ranks of corruption and restore citizens' trust, return to its roots, and protect freedom. We hope that the light of freedom will illuminate the path for every Mongolian without exception.”
