The USA will ease sanctions against Venezuela for oil sales

In an interview with Reuters, Bessent stated: "We intend to lift the sanctions related to oil trade. This could happen as early as next week."

He also emphasized that Venezuelan assets, estimated at $5 billion, remain frozen. Additionally, the minister plans to meet with the leadership of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank to discuss the possible resumption of cooperation with Venezuela. Bessent added that the blocked assets could be used to restore the country's economy.
