At the meeting, an agreement was reached between the National Geological Administration of Mongolia and the Geological Administration of China to prepare a Cooperation Agreement in Geology, which will continue the previously signed Memorandum of Understanding in September 2025 at the "Mining Industry Week" event in Mongolia. The main goal of the new agreement is to jointly conduct research in the fields of geology and geochemistry in border areas, exchange specialists and train personnel, as well as promote the establishment of a geopark in Mongolia using Chinese experience.

To implement the planned research in border areas, the launch of two pilot projects with the China Geological Survey is planned, which will begin in 2026 in the western and southeastern parts of Mongolia.

As part of the professional development of specialists in the geological sector of Mongolia, Wuhan University and the State University of Mongolia have agreed to launch an educational program "2+2," aimed at expanding the professional skills of students.

The parties also confirmed their readiness to exchange experiences in areas such as mine closure, land reclamation, and rational use of mineral resources, including the development of common methodologies and standards.

In connection with the issue of illegal gold and fluorite mining, which harms the environment and undermines public trust, Minister Guan Zhiou proposed to establish cooperation between the relevant authorities of both countries to identify and hold violators accountable.

Based on China's successful experience in modern mineral enrichment and processing technologies, Minister Damdinyam proposed creating a joint laboratory for testing low-grade ores (Au, Cu, Li, W, Zn, Fe, CaF₂, Pb, Sn). In addition, he highlighted exploration and investment in the oil and gas sector as key areas for further cooperation.
