Deputy Aigul Akhmedova appealed to government agencies with a request to protect migrants from illegal deportations and the associated difficulties.
During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Aigul Akhmedova raised the issue of the harsh conditions faced by Kyrgyz citizens working in Russia. She noted that many of them, who ended up in the Ministry of Internal Affairs database through the "Amina" app, are mistakenly classified as violators of migration legislation.
These citizens are placed in the temporary detention center "Saharovo," located in the Moscow region, where they can be held for up to a month in conditions that sometimes leave much to be desired, before they are released.
It is important to note that "Saharovo" is an institution intended for the detention of foreign citizens subject to deportation and those under administrative control.
According to Akhmedova, obtaining the necessary documents and registration can cost migrants up to 70,000 rubles, and some remain unemployed for months while waiting for their turn to process their paperwork.
The deputy called for the simplification of the legal employment process for Kyrgyz citizens in Russia and for their protection from illegal deportations.
