The Mandatory Health Insurance Fund reports that in Kyrgyzstan, cancer patients can expect free repeat surgeries within a year after their first hospitalization.

In such cases, all expenses for inpatient treatment are waived, which includes the absence of co-payments, just like during the initial treatment.

During inpatient treatment, medical institutions are not allowed to charge for consultations with doctors, surgeries, anesthesia, treatment of postoperative areas, as well as for any laboratory and diagnostic procedures performed in the hospital. Additionally, the medical organization must provide patients with necessary medications from the list of essential drugs. If such medications are unavailable, the patient can purchase them independently.

The specified provisions are enshrined in the State Guarantee Program.
