According to information provided by surgeon Dmitry Prokopyev, who is one of the leading specialists in plastic surgery in Kyrgyzstan, Russians are increasingly seeking medical services specifically in this republic. In the summer, when people go on vacation, there is an increase in the number of arrivals, which can account for up to 40% of the total number of patients.
According to him, patients come to Kyrgyzstan not only from neighboring countries but also from far abroad, including the United Arab Emirates, Europe, and the United Kingdom. However, the largest number of clients still consists of Russians and Kazakhstanis. Interestingly, in recent years, the number of Russians seeking procedures has increased, while the number of Kazakhstanis has slightly decreased.
As Prokopyev explained, information about Kyrgyzstan spreads mainly through "word of mouth." For example, one of the recent patients flew in from England on the recommendation of acquaintances who had already undergone surgeries in the republic. It is also worth noting that some surgeons and clinics actively use social media, such as Instagram, which helps attract new clients.
The most popular procedures among foreign patients include body contouring surgeries, such as breast augmentation, tummy tucks after childbirth, and liposuction, as well as rejuvenation procedures, including facelifts and blepharoplasty.
