It is planned to implement a project for the creation of an industrial park based on the Mailuu-Suu Electric Lamp Plant. This decision was made in accordance with the presidential decree, which provides for the granting of facilitating conditions for investors.
This information was announced by Bakyt Torobaev, the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and the Processing Industry, during a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with issues of agricultural policy, water resources, subsoil use, ecology, and environmental protection.
According to the minister, government agencies have begun work to address the existing problems at the enterprise. In particular, the debt for salaries for the last three months has been fully paid — 550 employees received their payments. Workers who have decided to resign will receive compensation in the amount of two months' salary.
Local authorities have also taken on the obligations to settle the plant's debts for electricity, gas, water, and loans, the total amount of which reaches approximately 248 million soms.
To restore the production of glass containers, it is planned to allocate 187 million soms as working capital, which will create jobs for 230 people. In addition, there are plans to expand the production line for LED lamps: 200 million soms will be directed to install five additional lines, which will create about 120 new jobs.
In addition to this, negotiations are underway with a potential investor to launch the production of thermal insulation mineral wool using the available glass waste. As the minister reported, the raw material base of the enterprise is approximately 700 thousand tons.
