Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic has outlined a course for GDP at $4500 and new industrialization
At a recent meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, important issues related to the implementation of the National Development Program until 2030 were discussed. The main goal of this program is to achieve a GDP per capita level of $4,500.

In his report for 2025, First Deputy Minister of Economy Choro Seitiov emphasized that economic growth has been quite successful: the GDP volume reached 1,976.4 billion soms, and the real growth rate was 111.1%. An important direction of government work for 2026 will be a large-scale reform plan covering several key areas.

As part of the industrialization program, it is planned to create a special Fund for Industrial and Technological Development and to build a factory for electric vehicles in the Sokuluk district of the Chui region. A new Industrial Development Strategy until 2030 and a corresponding law on industrial policy are also under development.

To create a regional hub, the "Export Accelerator" program will be launched, which will help sewing companies enter the EU market, and berry producers to tap into the markets of the UAE and Europe. Within the GSP+ system, special attention will be paid to promoting the export of dried fruits, nuts, and felt products.

In the field of tourism, the focus will be on attracting investments through the creation of an "Investment Package" and legalizing new forms of recreation, such as glamping and eco-hotels. The implementation of national service quality standards based on international practices and the development of tourist clusters are also planned.

As a result of the meeting, Bakyt Torobaev instructed to conduct an audit of all industrial facilities in the country to provide the necessary state support. The Deputy Prime Minister also proposed to consider the possibility of creating modern data centers that meet global standards to satisfy the global demand for data storage. Minister of Economy Bakyt Sydykov confirmed that all proposed initiatives will be taken into account.
