According to Baigonchokov, during this period, the main focus was on modernizing social facilities, landscaping areas, developing infrastructure, improving road surfaces, and addressing other important tasks. Funding was provided from the local budget, as well as through the involvement of various organizations and state support.
In 2025, an additional 2.9 billion soms was allocated for the city from the Stabilization Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic. As a result, the total budget of Bishkek for 2025 amounted to 30.5 billion soms, which is 7-8 billion soms more than was planned. The budget surplus exceeded 1 billion soms.
The First Deputy Mayor noted that while the budget growth from 2015 to 2020 was about 40%, over the last five years (2020-2025), it has tripled. In his opinion, this indicates the expansion of the capital's capabilities, the opening of new social enterprises and institutions, as well as the commissioning of new social facilities.
For 2026, a budget of 32.8 billion soms is planned. The municipality aims to ensure its execution and improve indicators by the end of the year. Work on increasing the revenue part of the budget will continue in cooperation with the deputies of the city council.
Baigonchokov also highlighted the increase in funding for the road sector. Previously, 160-170 million soms per year were allocated for internal roads in each district, but this year that amount has increased to over 300 million soms. Additionally, each district is allocated an extra 200 million soms for the development of social infrastructure.
In 2026, the municipality faces important tasks aimed at improving the lives of citizens and further developing the capital.
