
During a meeting with Japanese businessmen at the National Investment Agency, which is subordinate to the president, issues of developing economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan, as well as prospects for investment interaction, were discussed.
According to the agency, as a result of the negotiations, both sides confirmed their interest in further cooperation and reached an agreement to continue discussing specific investment initiatives.
The Japanese side was presented with an overview of Kyrgyzstan's investment climate, including existing government support measures, tax and legal preferences, as well as guarantees for the protection of foreign investments. The mechanisms for project implementation and institutional support tools were also clarified.
During the discussion, special attention was paid to key sectors of the economy, such as energy, infrastructure, industry, agriculture, and digital transformation. Information was provided about ongoing reforms aimed at improving the business environment and creating transparent conditions for foreign investors.
An expert from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) emphasized Kyrgyzstan's high investment potential, its advantageous geographical location, and opportunities for access to regional markets.
