On February 25, 2026, in London, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, participated in a meeting of the Kyrgyz-British Business Council. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Ministry of Finance, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as participants from state and private companies, including key players in the international and British arenas, were present at the event.
In his speech at the meeting, Kulubaev informed those present about the current socio-economic situation in the country, emphasizing the stable growth of the economy in recent years, which is confirmed by an increase in gross domestic product of 11.1% for the year 2025. Important factors for this economic rise included structural reforms, modernization of the economy, improvement of the investment climate, and the implementation of major infrastructure projects.
The Foreign Minister noted that the Kyrgyz Republic considers the development of relations with the United Kingdom as a priority direction. In this regard, he highlighted the successful work in the areas of consulting, manufacturing, natural resources, banking, and the issuance of eurobonds. Key areas for further cooperation were also identified, such as energy, transport, logistics, information technology, agriculture, and tourism, including the creation of modern ski resorts.
Emphasizing the importance of interaction between state structures and business within the framework of the Kyrgyz-British Business Council, Kulubaev expressed the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to be a reliable partner for British companies, which could contribute to attracting new investors.
Representatives of British business highly appreciated the stable economic growth of Kyrgyzstan and its potential for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation. They noted that interaction with the Kyrgyz side is characterized by openness and constructive dialogue aimed at long-term partnerships. The British side expressed its readiness to recommend Kyrgyzstan as a reliable and promising destination for investments and cooperation to other foreign companies.
