The state bank "Eldik Bank" together with the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan has launched a new program offering preferential loans for the purchase of breeding animals. The main advantage of this initiative is the record low interest rate of 3% per annum (EIR 3.04%), which makes financing particularly attractive for the agricultural sector.
The goal of the program is to significantly improve the genetic potential of livestock and enhance food security in the country. Loans are available for agricultural producers, breeding farms, individual entrepreneurs, and livestock importers who are included in special lists approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. An important aspect is also the support for insemination technicians, for whom separate limits are provided.
Financial resources can be used to purchase breeding animals of several elite breeds, including Alatau, Hereford, Holstein, and Simmental. In addition, loans can be allocated for the modernization of farms, the construction of livestock facilities, and the implementation of modern animal care technologies.
The main conditions of the lending program include:
Maximum loan amount: up to 20,000,000 soms (for insemination technicians - up to 2,000,000 soms);Loan term: up to 60 months (5 years);Grace period: 6 months;Unsecured limit: up to 500,000 soms;Additional support: in case of insufficient collateral, it is possible to obtain a guarantee from the JSC "Guarantee Fund".
