In 2025, 9 schools and 9 kindergartens were renovated in Osh, along with the construction of 7 sports facilities and 2 cultural institutions. Additionally, at the instruction of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, 2.2 billion soms were allocated from the Stabilization Fund, of which 2 billion were directed towards the repair of 8 key streets. The remaining 200 million soms were used for the construction of sidewalks and landscaping.
Adylbek Kasymaliev also emphasized that millions of soms have been allocated from the republican budget for the purchase of special equipment. He noted that support will continue and urged local leaders to utilize the allocated funds in a timely manner, as well as to actively discuss important issues with the population using grassroots diplomatic methods, as is done in other cities.
However, he pointed out that in 2025, Osh demonstrated the lowest level of attracting foreign direct investments. From January to September, the volume of foreign investments amounted to only 1.2 million US dollars, which is 44.1% lower compared to 2024. This indicates problems with the investment climate in the region.
“It is important to conduct a delicate policy towards business. Excessive inspections, unreasonable demands, and pressure on entrepreneurs should not be allowed,” he added.
Among the tasks assigned by Kasymaliev are: the urgent development and approval of the General Plan for the city of Osh, taking into account its expansion; proposals for increasing the revenue base of the local budget; special attention to the quality and timelines of infrastructure project implementation; and priority attention to attracting investment projects in the tourism sector.
Kasymaliev also noted the successful completion of a number of projects in 2025 that significantly changed the city.
