According to the mayor's plans, one sorting plant has already been built, and in the coming years, the launch of two or three more such facilities is expected, as reported by the media. The main goal of the authorities is to form the workforce of the enterprise from among local residents.
In addition, the mayor discussed the situation with the houses located near the landfill. Currently, they are considered illegal and cannot receive land amnesty due to the existing sanitary protection zone regulations. However, after the closure of the old landfill, the situation may change. The city administration plans to transform this area into a full-fledged industrial zone.
In the future, a cluster for the production of building materials from recycled waste and ash will be created here. The production of paving slabs, cobblestones, bricks, slate, and lime is planned. The mayor noted that there are already two large brick factories operating in this area with capacities of 250,000 and 320,000 products, which will serve as the foundation for transforming the former landfill into a manufacturing hub.
