According to the ministry's press release, the main goal of this meeting was to discuss opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of vocational, technical, and tourism education, as well as in technology transfer, in accordance with the previously signed joint statement.
From the Kyrgyz side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Ministers of Education Albert Makhmetkulov and Lira Samykbaeva, as well as the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Austria Nurchan Shaildabekova. The Austrian delegation was represented by Dorothea Auer from the Austrian Agency for Economic Cooperation and Development, Michael Matiashitz from the Federal Ministry of Finance, as well as representatives from the Klessheim Tourism College and the Austrian Technology Corporation.
Topics discussed included the implementation of previously reached agreements, cooperation in the area of tourism infrastructure and training specialists for the railway sector, as well as practical collaboration on the establishment of a tourism school in the Issyk-Kul region.
Conference participants also emphasized the organization of the educational process in winter tourism and winter sports, discussing the phased preparation of infrastructure, possible reconstruction of buildings, and the introduction of Austrian teaching methods, as well as best international practices.
Dogdurkül Kendirbaeva highlighted the importance of thoroughly studying issues related to the establishment of a tourism school, as well as the significance of Austria's mentoring and methodological experience in this field.
The Austrian side expressed its readiness to provide practical and methodological support, including training personnel, as well as assistance in creating an educational center based on current models and technologies.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation and move towards coordinating a plan for joint activities.
