President Sadyr Japarov has approved a number of amendments to the existing decrees regarding military uniforms for servicemen of the Armed Forces, as well as employees of other military structures and state bodies. The innovations also affected the employees of the State National Security Committee (GKNB), with the exception of the Border Service. In particular, a dark blue color has been approved for certain elements of their uniform.
Clarifications have been made to the requirements for the insulated camouflage jacket. The new model includes a yoke, hidden chest pockets, a vertical collar, a central zipper, insulated lining, and a detachable hood. For senior officers, the use of a collar made of astrakhan is permitted. Additionally, the characteristics of the summer field uniform have been updated, which will include jackets and trousers with a camouflage pattern, reinforcement on the elbows and knees, drawstrings, and detachable field shoulder boards.
As for headgear, employees of the GKNB are now provided with a cap in yellow-green color with a dark blue band and an emblem depicting a spread eagle. The eagle's chest features a sun with a tündük, and in its claws are a sword and a laurel branch. For colonels, the use of an emblem depicting the State Coat of Arms of the Kyrgyz Republic is permitted.
The rules for wearing the uniform have also been clarified: for the GKNB, a special uniform is provided instead of the field uniform, and high black boots are replaced with special footwear.
Additionally, everyday, winter, and parade uniforms for cadets of the GKNB Academy have been approved. The summer uniform includes a cap, a jacket, trousers, a yellow-green uniform shirt, a tie with a golden clasp, and black shoes. The winter uniform consists of an ushanka made of artificial fur, a winter coat with a detachable collar, a jacket, trousers, a scarf, gloves, and black boots. The parade uniform is similar to the everyday one but includes a white parade shirt, a white belt, white gloves, and an aiguillette.
