According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, the event was led by Tairiel Otonbaev, who holds the position of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and is the First Deputy Minister of Defense. The main goal of the meeting was to develop comprehensive measures and coordinate further actions aimed at reducing the incidence of suicide among military personnel.
Representatives from various government agencies participated in the round table, including the Ministry of Defense, the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security, the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Service for Execution of Sentences, and the Ministry of Culture, as well as specialists from educational institutions such as KNU, BGU, and KRSU. Also among the participants were representatives of public organizations and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims.
During the discussion, reports from officials of the Ministry of Defense were considered regarding the conscription of citizens for military and alternative service, as well as issues related to improving the quality of conscription selection. The role of educational work and the organization of medical and preventive activities in the armed forces were also discussed.
Additionally, information was presented from the Military Prosecutor's Office and the Main Department for Combating Economic Crimes of the State Committee for National Security.
In conclusion, the participants expressed a desire to continue joint work in the area of preventing offenses and suicides among the personnel of law enforcement agencies.
