Today, at a meeting of the "Mekenchil" deputy group, Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov announced plans to transfer part of the agricultural lands in Bishkek for development. This statement was made during the discussion of the General Plan for the city's development until 2050.

In response to a question from Deputy Erkeaiym Seitkaziyeva regarding whether the General Plan takes into account the possible expansion of the city and changes in administrative-territorial division, Kadyrov noted that the status of pastures and agricultural lands will be reviewed.

The Deputy Mayor clarified that public hearings on the General Plan project have already concluded. He added that according to the document, part of the agricultural lands will be used for residential development, particularly in the "Bishkek City Center" area near the village of Orok and in the "Tunguch" territory.

In addition, Kadyrov announced the creation of special departments in the akimats that will manage agricultural lands, as well as the introduction of a new position of deputy akim responsible for these lands.
