
According to the information from the president's press service, Adilet Orozbekovich Orozbekov has been appointed Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic. The decree on his appointment was signed by President Sadyr Japarov.
Previously, Rustam Mamasadykov held this position.
Before his new appointment, Orozbekov served as a state inspector in the department of defense, law enforcement, and security, responsible for monitoring the implementation of decrees from the president and the Cabinet of Ministers.
Biographical note:
Adilet Orozbekov was born in 1978. He is a graduate of the International University of Kyrgyzstan, where he studied "Diplomacy and International Law," and also underwent training at the FSB Academy of the Russian Federation.
Orozbekov is fluent in Kyrgyz, Russian, and English.
Currently, he holds the rank of 1st class advisor of the state civil service and the military rank of colonel.
He began his career in 2001 in the national security agencies as an operational officer and continued to work in various positions, including leadership roles, until 2017.
From 2007 to 2009, he served as the deputy head of the department for the protection of the constitutional order of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.
From 2009 to 2010, he worked as the head of the international cooperation department and deputy head of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.
From 2012 to 2017, Orozbekov was the chief expert at the Anti-Terrorism Center of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.
After 2017, he moved to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he worked as the national coordinator for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
From 2017 to 2019, he served as a referent in the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing.
In recent years, from 2023 to 2024, he worked as an expert in the Situational Center of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
