In 2025, Kyrgyzstan scored 70.7 points in the friendliness ranking

Bishkek strengthens its potential through a multi-vector policy

On February 17, a presentation of the research titled "Communication Regimes of Post-Soviet Countries: Friendliness Ranking towards Russia - 2025" took place in the presidential hall of the MIA "Russia Today".

Kyrgyzstan received 70.7 points in this ranking.

Experts consider this result quite positive, given the multi-vector approach that Bishkek is implementing. In addition to Russia, the country actively interacts with Turkey (in the fields of economy, humanitarian projects, and education), the European Union (in the areas of economy, infrastructure, and humanitarian initiatives), as well as with the USA and China.

Russia remains the only state with which Kyrgyzstan develops full cooperation in all areas: from security to education, migration, and scientific ties. While other states participate in specific aspects, none cover such a wide range of interaction as Russia. Kyrgyzstan, for its part, has not taken actions that could be perceived as a threat to Russian interests and shows caution regarding sensitive topics.

This approach is also confirmed on international platforms such as the EAEU, CSTO, CIS, and SCO, as well as during bilateral meetings between leaders, inter-parliamentary relations, and humanitarian and scientific exchanges. Both states strive for an equal dialogue.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are actively opening their markets to American and European companies, which increases the attractiveness of the Central Asian region and is likely to lead to a more noticeable influence of these countries on the economy and politics of Kyrgyzstan.

In addition to opportunities for reviving the joint scientific base with Russia, Kyrgyzstan is also strengthening cooperation with China and European Union programs, which could serve as a foundation for future interaction in areas such as industry, nuclear energy, and military-technical cooperation.
