The third round of negotiations between representatives of the USA, Russia, and Ukraine has concluded in Geneva. The head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, characterized the discussions as "difficult but businesslike."

“The negotiations lasted two days, including lengthy discussions yesterday and about two hours today. They were indeed challenging but constructive,” Medinsky noted.

In addition, he added that a new round of discussions is planned in the near future.

Rustem Umerov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, briefly commented on the results of the negotiations. He reported that the delegations, from both the political and military blocs, discussed security issues and mechanisms for implementing potential solutions. Some aspects have been clarified, while others require further coordination.

“...There is progress; however, at this stage, we cannot share details. The next step is to reach the necessary level of consensus to present the developed solutions for consideration by the presidents. Our goal is to create a practical, rather than just a formal basis for this,” Rustem Umerov added.

Special Representative of the U.S. President Stephen Witkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, were also present during the negotiations. Witkoff stated that Russia and Ukraine made "significant progress" in Geneva, agreeing to inform their leaders about the results and to continue working towards achieving a peace agreement.
