He added that Ukraine is ready for negotiations with Russia and the USA in any form, emphasizing the need for Europe’s participation in the process, as part of the security guarantees is linked to the country's integration into the European Union.
Zelensky stressed that the priority remains a meeting of the three leaders. "At a minimum, we need to have the opportunity to establish contact with the President of Russia in some format," he said, adding that without such interaction, it is impossible to reach an agreement on territorial issues.
Discussing the current situation of peace negotiations, he noted that it is unclear whether the process is in its final stages or if there is still much work ahead with other states. According to him, the final stage is the most difficult, and it is currently challenging to determine how close the parties are to a final outcome.
Touching on security issues, Zelensky stated that Ukraine is counting on guarantees from the USA, where a relevant document has already been prepared, as well as from European countries. He also emphasized the importance of preparing a package of measures for the country's recovery, which, in his opinion, is crucial for attracting potential investors.
Zelensky added: "Investors must be confident that Ukraine will have security guarantees and that the war will not resume. This is critically important for their willingness to invest in the country."
It was previously reported that Russia agreed to temporarily suspend strikes on Ukraine until February 1 at the request of US President Donald Trump, who claimed to have received permission from Vladimir Putin to halt attacks on Ukrainian territories for one week.
