During the "Agrodialog" forum, the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev, summarized the current state of agriculture and outlined plans for the future. He reported that by 2025, the volume of agricultural production will reach 459.7 billion soms, an increase of 62.9 billion soms compared to the previous year, corresponding to a growth rate of 102.2%.

In the processing industry, the volume of production amounted to 104.7 billion soms, which is 16.2 billion soms more than in 2024, with a growth rate of 130.1%.

Kasymaliev also noted the positive dynamics in the export of agricultural products — over 60 items are supplied to more than 80 countries. At the same time, the population is provided with six out of nine key food products.

The head of the government emphasized that successes in agriculture are the result of joint efforts between the authorities and businesses, and progress in areas such as fuel supply and lending is becoming increasingly noticeable.

He reminded about the National Development Program of Kyrgyzstan until 2030, which aims to increase agricultural production by 30%, double processing, reduce water losses to 15%, and increase irrigated land by 15,000 hectares while enhancing water supply for 93,000 hectares.

According to Kasymaliev, in 2026, 12.3 billion soms will be invested in the irrigation sector, and total funding for agriculture will grow to 41.1 billion soms, significantly more compared to 31.5 billion soms in 2025.

He noted the need to strengthen the material base of seed production, breeding livestock, and nurseries in the coming years, as well as to effectively utilize preferential loans.

Kasymaliev also added that by 2030, the level of agricultural product processing is planned to increase to 25%, and by 2040 — to 50%. Currently, this figure stands at about 7%.

To achieve the set goals, it is necessary to launch 385 processing enterprises by 2030, of which 75 should be opened by 2026, as well as to develop agro-clusters and value-added chains.

As an example of successful exports, he cited the Netherlands, where revenues from tulip exports exceed 1 billion euros, and Turkey, which annually exports dried apricots worth about $400 million. Kasymaliev noted that Kyrgyzstan is already beginning to enter the global market with dried apricots and called for the activation of efforts to promote domestic products.

In addition, he emphasized the importance of science and education in the development of agriculture, counting on the contribution of the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University and scientists.

As part of the forum, a ceremony was also held to award employees of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
