The Georgian resource Interpressnews published an article dedicated to the fifth anniversary of Sadyr Japarov's presidency. It emphasizes that during this period, Kyrgyzstan has undergone significant changes, but the country still faces serious challenges.

According to the material, the year 2020 marked the beginning of a crisis phase for the country, but over the five years, the economy has achieved sustainable growth. The gross domestic product has approached the mark of 2 trillion soms, there is a recovery in investment activity, and international reserves have more than doubled.

Analysts from Georgia attribute these achievements to the strengthening of the vertical power structure and the implementation of a number of infrastructure projects in the fields of energy, transport, and construction.

Interpressnews also notes that Bishkek has achieved successes in regional politics, particularly in resolving issues related to state borders. The completion of the delimitation of the border with Tajikistan has become one of the most significant successes of the current government.

However, the Georgian publication emphasizes that despite significant economic progress, the main challenge for the state — the stable improvement of citizens' living standards — still remains to be addressed. The authors of the article highlight the need to strengthen institutions, reduce social inequality, and improve the quality of governance.
