As a result of heavy snowfall and icy conditions in Japan, a major traffic accident occurred involving 57 vehicles. According to reports, two people died and 26 were injured. This information was provided by the NHK agency.
The accident took place on the Kan-etsu Expressway in Gunma Prefecture. The large-scale crash was triggered by a collision between two trucks, which led to a subsequent fire and the destruction of more than ten vehicles.

The incident occurred on Friday evening in the Minakami area. Fire crews worked for about 7.5 hours to completely extinguish the fire.
