"There Can Be No Untouchables in Government Agencies - GKNB on the Detentions of Former National Security Employees"
According to information from the GKNB press service provided on February 17, all actions are being carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and in compliance with all procedural norms. The leadership of the GKNB has also been timely informed about the progress of the case.
As a result of the conducted inspection, personnel measures were taken: employees who committed violations were relieved of their positions and excluded from the national security agencies.
“Competent authorities will conduct a final legal examination of the actions of the aforementioned individuals in the established manner,” the GKNB assured.
The agency emphasized that state bodies continue to implement a policy aimed at strengthening the rule of law and ensuring discipline, as well as preventing corruption and unlawful actions among their employees. “Every employee, regardless of their position, bears personal responsibility before the law. We will continue our work to enhance transparency and public trust in state institutions,” the GKNB added.
Furthermore, the statement mentions that some information leaks are “deliberately presented as an existing confrontation between law enforcement agencies.” “These claims are false and aimed at undermining trust in state institutions,” the GKNB noted.
All security and law enforcement agencies in the country operate within the framework of the law and interact with each other based on common goals of ensuring national security and public order. Attempts to create the impression of conflict between agencies are considered destructive and may lead to destabilization of the socio-political situation. Interested parties may threaten the president's course towards the demilitarization of public space and the openness of government bodies,” the GKNB concluded.
Security services urged everyone to rely on official sources of information.
The GKNB emphasizes that there are no untouchables in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Military Prosecutor's Office, the judiciary, the tax service, the border service, and other state bodies. All employees are responsible for their actions.
“The state consistently pursues a policy of cleansing its ranks of unscrupulous workers, strengthening discipline, and ensuring the rule of law. Work in this direction will continue,” the GKNB concluded.
