This incident occurred on November 28, 2025, around midnight.
The taxi driver shared details of the incident with a Turmush correspondent:
“My car is a 2007 model and registered in my wife Samara's name. Working as a taxi driver, I provided for my family, but now I haven’t been able to find work for almost two months.”
That evening, I received an order from the address: K.Kuliev Street, house No. 66. When I arrived, two young men got into the car. I drove them to the village of Kaltar, where they began to threaten me, one of them had a knife. They demanded to take them back to the same address. Scared, I agreed. At the intersection of Kuliev and Pushkin streets, they pulled me out of the car, took the keys, and put me in the back seat. The passengers reeked of alcohol. One of them got behind the wheel, and soon we were stopped by inspectors who noticed the driver's state of intoxication, and they took us all to the narcology department.”
“In the narcology department, I partially recounted what happened. I was in shock and couldn't explain everything in detail. The doctors confirmed that the passengers were under the influence of alcohol. I was told that I needed to provide a report on the aggression directed at me. The car was placed in an impound lot, which happened on the night from Friday to Saturday.”
On the third day, Monday, still in shock, I filed a complaint with the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs. The investigator assured me that the criminals would be found easily and that he would contact me. However, after that, he never got in touch, and I received no response. My car remained in the impound lot all this time.”
After that, I contacted the Bishkek City Traffic Safety Department. There, I was informed that the protocol had been sent to court, and the decision would be ready within ten days. On December 29, I was told that the decision had been returned to the Traffic Safety Department, and I could pick up my car in two days. However, that day fell on December 31. When I called the provided number, I was told to come after the New Year. After the holidays, it turned out that the protocol had been lost. The court claims it sent it by mail, but the Traffic Safety Department states that they did not receive the document. As a result, I still did not get my car back, and I was left without work.”

The taxi driver also reported that during the investigation, it was found that one of his passengers had recently been released from prison — this was confirmed by the database. He is under supervision but has not been detained.
Later, the press service of the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs in Bishkek informed Turmush that a citizen K. u. K. had submitted a written request to the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs asking for measures to be taken against unknown individuals who, on November 29, 2025, around 02:00, at the intersection of Pushkin and Kuliev streets, inflicted bodily harm on him without cause.
The investigative department of the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs in Bishkek has initiated a criminal case under Article 280 (“Hooliganism”) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and appointed the necessary examinations.
Currently, necessary investigative activities are being conducted, based on the results of which a procedural decision will be made.
