Sergio Gore, the U.S. Special Envoy, emphasized at the event that significant opportunities are opening up in the world for both the United States and the countries of Central and South Asia. He noted that Washington is striving for partnership and collaboration with these states, which is why their leaders were invited to the White House. Gore added that ending the war is not just a task for one side, but a process from which all involved will benefit. Since the current president took office, he has actively worked on resolving numerous conflicts, including in Africa, Cambodia, and the Gaza Strip. This issue holds a high degree of importance for him, and he is striving for peace on a global scale.
“We are ready to do everything possible to stop the conflict between Ukraine and Russia and to end the funding that supports this war. The president considers the resolution of this conflict to be an important task,” he noted. Gore also shared that he was personally present in the Oval Office, where the president repeatedly emphasized his efforts to achieve peace.
According to him, many would have long ceased their attempts, but that should not have happened. “If the president had been in the Oval Office a few years ago, this war could have been prevented,” Gore stated.
Now that the conflict exists, the president is doing everything possible to achieve peace in this region. According to Gore, all participants in the forum agree that peace is something that needs to be upheld together.
