On Saturday morning, New York was covered with a layer of snow about 10 cm thick. Adams, speaking on ABC, advised: “Stay home. It’s a great day to think about expanding the family.”
When asked by the host about a possible "baby boom" in the spring, the mayor humorously replied: “We are aiming to increase the population. But seriously, I want to express my gratitude to the sanitation department, the fire department, and other emergency services. We expected up to 11 inches of snow, but we ended up with about four. By six in the morning, all streets had been cleared at least once.”
The snowfall began to weaken after interacting with cold air masses, leading to a significant reduction in precipitation. According to the National Weather Service, the most intense precipitation was observed in the Howard Beach area of Queens, where 4.6 inches of snow fell.
