Starting from January 8, 2026, methane gas stations have switched to a new operating mode, which limits their activities from 10 AM to 4 PM.
The reason for these changes was a decrease in pressure in the main gas pipelines, which required urgent measures to be taken. The Ministry emphasized that the main task remains to ensure stable gas supply for households and social institutions.
“The operating schedule of methane stations is adjusted in coordination with local authorities depending on the situation with gas supply, pressure, and consumption. This measure is aimed at the efficient use of gas resources and maintaining stable supplies,” the department explained.
The Ministry noted that these measures are temporary and necessary. Currently, work is underway to restore gas pressure in the system.
Earlier, in December 2025, authorities also imposed restrictions on the operation of gas stations, but on December 30, they returned to a round-the-clock mode.
