Recent actions by Google have led to the removal of several medical reviews generated using artificial intelligence. This occurred following the publication of an investigation by the Guardian, which reported the presence of dangerous false health information threatening users' well-being, as reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the publication, "some medical reviews generated by AI were removed as a result of the Guardian's work, which revealed that they contained misleading information posing a risk to people's health."
At the beginning of January, the Guardian reported that the information contained in these AI-generated reviews could lead to dangerous health consequences for individuals.
In particular, one such review recommended that patients with pancreatic cancer avoid high-fat foods, which contradicts medical recommendations and could increase the risk of mortality among patients. It was also reported that Google's AI provided incorrect data about important liver tests, which could mislead individuals with serious liver diseases, making them believe they are in good health.
