On January 16, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon made a series of personnel changes in the structures of the Ministry of Defense, the National Guard, the Border Troops, the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption, as well as the Main Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sentences of the Ministry of Justice. This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
Among the new appointments are the first deputy head of the State Institution "Support for Defense" of the Ministry of Defense, as well as leadership positions in the central offices of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Border Troops, the National Guard, the Agency for Financial Control and Combating Corruption, and the Main Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sentences of the Ministry of Justice.
Additionally, experts in this field were appointed to the positions of military commissioners in cities and districts such as Mir Said Ali Hamadani, Danghara, Vakhsh, Abdurakhmoni Jami, Yavan, and Shahristan.
During his conversation with the leadership of the law enforcement agencies, the president discussed the current state of readiness of the Armed Forces, taking into account the regional and global situation, and outlined goals for maintaining peace and stability.
Special attention was paid to strengthening the protection of the state border and preventing violations related to armed incidents, smuggling of weapons, and drugs. The necessity to enhance the readiness of the Armed Forces, study foreign languages, master new combat technologies, regularly conduct exercises and training, including the use of remotely controlled equipment, as well as comply with legal norms and industry standards was also raised.
Emomali Rahmon emphasized the importance of building relationships between soldiers and command based on mutual respect and understanding, which contributes to strengthening trust, friendship, and mutual support among military personnel.
The president also provided a number of recommendations and instructions for the performance of official duties in the relevant structures, as reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
