In Bishkek, prices for essential food products, including meat, are regularly monitored. The press service of the city administration reported this recently.

This monitoring is part of the implementation of the order from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, which was issued on August 7, 2025, under number 140 "On the introduction of temporary state regulation of prices for meat products (beef and lamb, excluding boneless)."

Inspections are conducted at markets such as TRC "Osh Bazaar," "Orto-Sai," "Alamedin," "Dordoy," "Aziz," as well as in retail chains "Market," "Globus," "Asia," and other stores.

As part of the monitoring, specialists conduct explanatory work with entrepreneurs and sellers aimed at preventing unjustified price increases and ensuring compliance with established maximum retail prices. In particular, special attention is paid to adhering to the price limit for beef and lamb, set at no more than 680 soms per kilogram," the statement specifies.

Additionally, possibilities are being explored to expand the trade of meat products at socially acceptable prices, including allocating trading spaces without intermediaries and opening new sales points.

As part of this work, the administrations of Sverdlovsky, Pervomaisky, Leninsky, and Oktyabrsky districts, together with representatives of the antimonopoly service, veterinary service, tax authorities, and other authorized structures, conducted raids and monitoring at markets and retail points in the city.
