In an interview with News Nation, President Trump commented on rumors of the use of unknown weaponry by American troops during the operation to capture Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, stating that there exists "amazing" weaponry that "no one knows about."

During the conversation, the host brought up the topic of sound weapons, to which Trump replied, "We have weapons that no one knows about. Probably better not to talk about it, but we have amazing weapons."

It was previously reported that during the operation to capture Maduro, Venezuelan military personnel observed that the air defense radars were first disabled, after which drones and helicopters appeared in the sky. According to sources, this resembled the effect of a powerful sound wave, as many people began to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.

It should be noted that in December 2025, the U.S. conducted an operation against Venezuela, resulting in the capture of Nicolás Maduro and his wife in Caracas. They were later taken to a detention center in Brooklyn.

Speaking about this operation, Trump recalled the Monroe Doctrine, which defines the American continent as a zone free from foreign intervention. He also warned "all enemies of the U.S." about possible actions similar to those in Venezuela.

The legal proceedings against Maduro have already begun in New York. He faces up to four life sentences for charges related to drug terrorism, cocaine trafficking, as well as possession of weapons and explosives, and conspiracy against the U.S.

At the court hearing, Maduro claimed that he "is still the president of Venezuela" and "is not guilty." His wife also declared her innocence. The judge scheduled the next hearing for March 17 and allowed the participation of consular officials. Maduro's defense intends to seek his release on bail.
