Issues related to the development of the state rehabilitation system for drug addicts were discussed by the Minister of Health Kanbek Dosmambetov and narcologist, Professor Zhenishbek Nazaraliev.
As noted by the minister, the growing prevalence of synthetic drugs, especially among youth, poses a serious threat to national security. In this regard, the Ministry of Health plans to strengthen preventive and rehabilitation measures in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Education, including educational programs in educational institutions.
The planned opening of the state rehabilitation center for drug addicts will take place based on the center currently engaged in post-stroke rehabilitation in the village of Dachnoye. At the same time, patients undergoing rehabilitation after a stroke will be transferred to the Research Institute of Resortology and Rehabilitation located in the village of Vorontsovka.
The minister also emphasized the inadmissibility of the operation of illegal rehabilitation centers and the importance of creating a transparent system of state assistance. In this regard, an action plan for the anti-drug program, focused on the next five years, is being developed.
Zhenishbek Nazaraliev expressed his readiness to provide methodological support to the Ministry of Health and to involve specialists with practical experience for the implementation of the planned initiatives.
