On February 19, a seminar was held in Bishkek, organized at school No. 95, which discussed measures to enhance the safety and health of students. The event was attended by deputy directors for educational work and medical staff from schools, as well as representatives from the healthcare system, including pediatric endocrinologist A. Abikova, head of the department of medical and psychological assistance for minors T. Sagynbaeva, and physician L. Mirieva from the Bishkek Center for Health Promotion, as reported by the press service of the capital's mayor's office.

The seminar was part of a city-wide month dedicated to fostering knowledge and skills related to a healthy lifestyle among schoolchildren. Various sanitary and educational activities are being conducted in the capital's educational institutions, such as class hours, lectures, and discussions, as well as the screening of video materials for students and their parents.

These activities involve juvenile inspectors and medical workers, in accordance with the law "On the Protection of Citizens' Health from the Consequences of Tobacco, Nicotine, and Exposure to Environmental Tobacco Smoke and Aerosol."

Particular attention is paid to explaining the ban on smoking tobacco and other products, such as nasvay, vapes, hookahs, and electronic nicotine delivery systems.

Thematic classes are organized for elementary and middle school students, such as "Prevention of Harmful Habits and Formation of Healthy Lifestyle Skills" and "Why Athletes Don't Smoke." Students are also provided with information on the prevention of socially significant diseases, including diabetes, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, mental disorders, and HIV infection.
