During the five-year presidency of Sadyr Japarov, the Kyrgyz Republic has experienced significant changes in its economy. This information was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.

According to the ministry's data, the results of the economic policy being implemented have positively impacted the growth of the gross domestic product, which has noticeably increased at both regional and international levels.

"In 2020, the GDP of Kyrgyzstan amounted to 601.8 billion soms, and by 2021 it had risen to 723.1 billion soms, marking the beginning of a period of economic recovery. In 2022, the gross domestic product reached 1 trillion 21 billion soms, for the first time surpassing the important psychological threshold of 1 trillion soms. In 2023, this figure grew to 1.2 trillion soms, and according to forecasts, by 2025, the GDP could reach 1 trillion 976.4 billion soms, effectively approaching the mark of 2 trillion soms," the statement notes.

The Ministry of Economy also indicated that over the past four years, the average annual real GDP growth rate has been 10.2%.
