The strategic location of Kyrgyzstan opens up opportunities for transforming the country into an important regional center for financial, trade, and logistics operations. These ideas are outlined in the Development Program until 2030.

The increase in the share of e-commerce and the need to diversify transport routes emphasize the importance of this direction. The authorities intend to set ambitious goals for realizing this potential.

Key indicators for achieving the set goals:

Priority projects and tasks

The government pays special attention to improving road infrastructure, including the modernization of the north-south route and the use of modern materials to enhance the durability of road surfaces.

In the field of rail transport, the most important projects remain "China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan," as well as the complete electrification of railways and the renewal of rolling stock.

The transport system of cities is expected to undergo significant changes.

A transition to environmentally friendly electric buses, an expansion of the charging station network, and the creation of comfortable infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists are planned. Priority will be given to public transport in large cities.

In the field of civil aviation, the focus is on expanding the route network, modernizing airports, and developing general aviation. To enhance the efficiency of cargo transportation in the republic, international companies will be attracted, and intelligent transport systems will be implemented.

Simplifying customs procedures and developing transport corridors towards China, Iran, Pakistan, and Russia should strengthen Kyrgyzstan's position in the regional economy.
