- In 2025, fuel prices in Kyrgyzstan significantly contributed to the rise in inflation. This information is provided by the Ministry of Economy.

Over the course of one year, the cost of fuel and lubricants increased by 14.5%. Specifically, gasoline prices rose by 15.1%, while diesel prices went up by 11.1%.

The report indicates that the main reasons for the price increase were repair works at Russian oil refineries, which led to a reduction in supplies, as Russia is the main supplier of fuel for Kyrgyzstan. Additionally, the situation was affected by a market shortage and geopolitical circumstances. Furthermore, the increase in domestic fuel consumption amid accelerated economic growth and increased production volumes contributed to the rise in prices.

Utility payments are also not left out: the cost of housing services, gas, water, and electricity increased by 14% over the year. The highest price growth is observed in the electricity sector, which rose by 23.6%. This is related to the annual tariff increases in accordance with the medium-term tariff policy for 2025–2030. Gas prices increased by 6.8%.

A moderate increase in prices for clothing and footwear was also recorded, at 3.4%, with clothing rising by 3.5% and footwear and repair services by 3.2%. Prices for household goods and appliances increased by 4.8%. Overall, non-food products became more expensive by 7.8%.
