During the conversation, the minister provided detailed information about the progress made in the country's energy sector over the past two to three years, as well as current and future projects in this area.

Talaybek Ibraev also suggested that the consortium representatives consider the possibility of constructing thermal power plants (TPPs) at coal deposits in Kyrgyzstan.

The consortium, in turn, expressed its readiness to develop, finance, and build three thermal power plants, each with a capacity of 350 MW, totaling 1050 MW. The project will be implemented using clean coal technologies in accordance with international standards, and the consortium has relevant experience in constructing such facilities.

The representatives of the consortium noted that the application of modern technologies will ensure reliable, environmentally friendly, and stable electricity production based on coal. To this end, studies of coal deposits are planned, which will include assessments of ash content, moisture, volatile substances, sulfur and phosphorus content, as well as the calorific value of the coal.

The minister emphasized the importance of conducting the necessary research by the consortium's specialists for the successful implementation of the project and expressed the Ministry of Energy's readiness to provide full support within its authority.
