According to the press service of the parliament, the city lacks modern cultural facilities, and the only remaining House of Culture, once belonging to a sugar factory, is in critical condition. The residents of the city expressed the need for the construction of a new House of Culture.
Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu noted that despite the emphasis on the development of regions, cities near the capital should not be overlooked.
“Once, Kainy was a well-known place not only in Kyrgyzstan but also beyond its borders. After gaining independence, like many other cities, it fell off the radar, and its socio-infrastructural problems began to accumulate. The outdated condition of the cultural institution is a vivid example of this. Therefore, the ministry must promptly allocate funds for the construction of a multifunctional building,” he emphasized.
The Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Youth Policy presented the project for the new House of Culture.
The Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh added that when designing social and cultural facilities, it is important to consider national traditions and suggested making appropriate adjustments to the project.
Then the deputies inspected the site in the Panfilov district, where the construction of a cultural and educational health center is planned, and familiarized themselves with the project.
Local authorities reported that this center will be located in close proximity to new residential complexes that are planned to be built on mortgage terms.
“In the last 3-4 years, we have been actively building schools, kindergartens, and hospitals; now it is time to focus on creating health and cultural-educational institutions. After all, the main wealth of our country is its citizens. By caring for the health and education of the population, as well as supporting the development of culture, we can achieve our goals of creating a strong state. These areas are interconnected and are priorities for our society,” the speaker noted, emphasizing the need for the prompt completion of this facility's construction.
