Nazgul Shopokova has been working as a kindergarten teacher for over ten years. In an interview with a Turmush correspondent, she shared her thoughts on the reasons why children are starting to speak later.

Currently, Nazgul works at the "Ak-Zhar Season" kindergarten, located in the village of Ak-Zhar in the At-Bashinsky District of the Naryn Region. During her time at the institution, she has actively participated in the upbringing and education of children.

During the conversation, Shopokova noted that one of the main problems of modernity is the delay in speech development among children. "Yes, children really do start speaking later. In my group, where the kids are four years old, many cannot speak properly. The key factors for this are the use of phones and televisions. Children often watch videos in different languages — Kyrgyz, Russian, English, and others. As a result, they get confused and do not understand which language they should communicate in. Some parents provide their children with smartphones to attend to their own affairs, and then they are surprised that their child only started speaking after coming to kindergarten," she shared.

Nazgul also emphasized the importance of developing fine motor skills, which are closely related to a child's speech skills and thinking. In the group, the teacher organizes developmental games, modeling activities, and other hands-on activities.

Additionally, Shopokova touched on the interaction with parents. "Some of them do not come, even when we invite them. Nevertheless, we continue to strive to teach children to speak and express their thoughts," she added.

Comparing today's students with those who studied ten years ago, the teacher noted that significant changes have occurred: "Previously, children could dress themselves and communicate independently, but now there are those who cannot even dress themselves."

Shopokova urged parents to pay more attention to their children and maintain communication with the kindergarten. "I ask parents — stay in touch with the kindergarten, come to invitations, and spend more time with your children. The development of a child's speech and upbringing depends on the joint efforts of parents and educators," she said.

Nazgul Sydykbekovna Shopokova was born on September 12, 1980, in Bishkek. At the age of six, her family moved to Naryn due to her father's job. In this city, she entered the first grade of Secondary School No. 7 named after Maten Sydykov.

After graduating from school, Nazgul enrolled in a university in Naryn, and a year later, she got married and moved to the village of Ak-Zhar in the At-Bashinsky District.

She is currently a mother of five children and a grandmother of two grandchildren.
