In the response from KGMA, distributed by the press service of the Ministry of Health, it is indicated that according to the order of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic dated May 25, 1999, and the minutes of the meeting of the Academy's Academic Council No. 6 dated March 26, 1999, a state educational, therapeutic, and scientific medical clinic - Academic Clinic No. 1 of KGMA was established upon the founding of the academy.
The university emphasized that the main goal of the clinic is to provide specialized and highly qualified medical assistance to the population, using modern equipment and implementing the latest achievements in medical science and practice, as well as developing research activities in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, and medical education.
The founder of Academic Clinic No. 1 is the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev, which plays a key role in training medical personnel for the country's healthcare system.
As noted in the academy's response, "Academic Clinic No. 1 of KGMA has critical state significance, as it serves as a clinical base for the educational process at KGMA. Here, practical training for students, interns, and clinical residents is conducted, as well as scientific research for graduate and doctoral students."
The existence of a state academic clinic ensures the integration of the educational process, clinical practice, and scientific research, which is important for training highly qualified medical specialists for the healthcare system of Kyrgyzstan.
