Key facts about the new director
- Erkin Bozhokoevich Toktombetov received his higher legal education at the Kyrgyz State University named after the 50th anniversary of the USSR, where he studied from 1985 to 1990. His career began in 1982 at an instrument-making plant in Bishkek, where he worked in various positions, including as a laborer and driver.
- From 1990 to 1992, he interned at the Prosecutor's Office of the Lenin District of Bishkek, which provided him with practical experience in investigative activities.
- Toktombetov served as a prosecutor in the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic from 1992 to 1993, and then was the deputy prosecutor of the Alamudun District in 1993.
- From 1993 to 1994, he held the position of assistant to the chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic, and then became the head of one of the departments of this court in 1995.
- Between 1994 and 1996, he worked in international and commercial organizations, including cooperation with the Hong Kong bank "Henfen-LTD".
- From 1996 to 1997, Toktombetov served as the head of the legal department at the joint venture "Medfarm".
- From 1997 to 1999, he held leadership positions in the Higher Arbitration Court of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Arbitration Court of the Chui Region.
- From 1999 to 2008, he worked as the deputy chairman of the Chui Regional Court, and from 2008 to 2009, he was the chairman of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek.
- From 2009 to 2012, he served as the deputy chairman and judge of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic, gaining recognition for his achievements.
- In 1998 and 1999, Toktombetov was awarded honorary certificates from the governor of the Chui Region.
