During a working trip to the Issyk-Kul region, President Japarov and Changpeng Zhao got acquainted with the territory of the new ski cluster "Ala-Too Resort," which combines three resort towns: "Jyrgalan," "Ak-Bulak," and "Boz-Uchuk." Construction of the complex is currently underway.
During the presentation, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Azamat Kadyraliev, highlighted the key advantages of the project, including its strategic location, environmental sustainability, investment attractiveness, and international standards.
The construction of modern cable car equipment has already begun. High-speed combined cable cars B1 and B2 will provide tourists with comfortable access to the slopes in both closed cabins and open chairs.
The total area of the ski cluster will be 3,916 hectares, and the length of the trails will be 260 kilometers, allowing "Ala-Too Resort" to rank among the ten largest resorts in the world by trail length.
The complex will feature a panoramic restaurant, conference halls, a medical center, a stadium, an amphitheater, and recreational areas.
Currently, the construction of water supply systems is also underway, wastewater treatment facilities are being designed, and power supply lines are being laid. The reconstruction of the Karakol - Jyrgalan road has been launched.
Azamat Kadyraliev noted that the government provides investors with an individual approach and minimizes administrative barriers at the document preparation stage. He reported that the construction of the cable cars and private villas is planned to be completed in July, and the opening of the first phase of the project, the resort town of "Jyrgalan," is scheduled for December. Next year, hotels of various categories, from three to five stars, will be built.
Sadyr Japarov and Changpeng Zhao also tried their hand at freeriding, descending down untouched slopes.
