Edil Baisalov noted that "the state continuously supports the development of sports, and funding increases every year. In 2020, about 800 million soms were allocated for these purposes, and in 2025, the amount increased to almost 2.6 billion soms. This confirms the trust of the state in the sports sector and our obligation to athletes."

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, special attention is paid to the implementation of the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030. "Our main task according to this program is to expand access to mass physical culture and sports activities, modernize infrastructure, form an Olympic reserve, and develop mass sports, including the establishment of sports sections in schools. In addition, we intend to pay special attention to supporting women's sports," he added.






Preparation for the XXXIV Summer Olympic Games and the XVIII Summer Paralympic Games, which will be held in Los Angeles, was also discussed. Participants noted that several major international tournaments will take place in the country in 2026, including the Asian Wrestling Championship, the Central Asian Sailing Championship on Lake Issyk-Kul, and the World Nomad Games. In addition, it was instructed to expedite the establishment of the state enterprise "Kyrgyz Center for Sports and Health Medicine," strengthen security measures at mass events, and enhance digitalization in the sports sector. The Kyrgyz State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports was tasked with revising its training program and focusing on preparing specialists in new sports.
