During the meeting between the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and Mikhail Shvydkoy, the special representative of the President of Russia for international cultural cooperation, important aspects of Kyrgyz-Russian relations in the field of culture and humanitarian interaction were discussed. The parties talked about plans for joint initiatives and the further development of cultural cooperation.

Japarov emphasized that cooperation in the cultural sphere is fundamental for strengthening dialogue between the states. He expressed confidence in the successful holding of the Days of Russian Culture in Kyrgyzstan in 2025 and noted that the opening of the Kyrgyz House of Science and Culture in Moscow would be a significant step in the development of humanitarian ties.

The President invited a team from Russia to participate in the VI World Nomad Games, which will take place in Kyrgyzstan in 2026.

In addition, Japarov highlighted the importance of digitizing cultural processes and the significance of the legacy of Chinghiz Aitmatov, who became a link between the two peoples.

Mikhail Shvydkoy conveyed greetings from the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, noting that he considers Kyrgyzstan his second homeland. He is keenly observing the development of the country, which demonstrates stability and high rates of economic growth due to long-term planning.

The discussion also touched upon preparations for 2028, which will mark the centenary of Chinghiz Aitmatov and the bicentennial of Leo Tolstoy.

Shvydkoy proposed to jointly celebrate these significant dates by creating an organizational committee consisting of vice-premiers from both countries.

In conclusion, the parties confirmed their interest in further developing cultural cooperation and expanding bilateral projects.
