The main topic of discussion was the plans for updating and expanding Kyrgyzstan's fleet with new aircraft, as well as deepening cooperation in the field of civil aviation.

Sadyr Japarov emphasized that cooperation with Airbus is of great importance for Kyrgyzstan. He noted that the signed agreement represents a significant step in the development of civil aviation, enhancing the reliability of air transportation and expanding air communication opportunities.
The president also pointed out the active development of the aviation sector in the country, including the modernization of airports and the expansion of regional routes. Previously, only four airports were operational, while today all 11 airports are functioning, and the construction of the new Jalal-Abad International Airport is ongoing.
Furthermore, Japarov reminded that Kyrgyzstan is close to being removed from the European Union's blacklist regarding aviation safety. The final inspection by European experts is expected to take place this month.
Johan Pelissier highly praised the reforms carried out in Kyrgyzstan's aviation sector and noted that the modernization of the industry and the enhancement of flight safety are moving in the right direction. He expressed interest in expanding cooperation not only in commercial aviation but also in transportation and logistics.
The Senior Vice President of BBAM Leasing, Maurice Prendergast, added that the aircraft that Kyrgyzstan plans to acquire fully meet international standards. He also mentioned that specialists from the company will arrive in the country to assist Kyrgyz colleagues in mastering the operational systems and technical features of the new aircraft.
Following the meeting, the participants confirmed their readiness for further mutually beneficial cooperation and the development of partnership relations in the aviation sector.
