On February 4-5, another round of trilateral negotiations is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi, involving representatives from Ukraine, the USA, and Russia. This is reported in materials from UNIAN.

On February 2, Zelensky held a coordination meeting with the Ukrainian delegation that will attend the negotiations. Key figures participated in the discussion: Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, Head of the President's Office Kyrylo Budanov, his First Deputy Serhiy Kyslytsia, Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov, and Advisor to the President's Office Oleksandr Bevz.

The President noted that he has agreed on the framework for the upcoming dialogue and defined specific tasks for the team that will participate in the negotiations.

Zelensky emphasized: "Ukraine is ready for real steps towards achieving a dignified peace. We are confident that the bilateral security guarantee document with the USA is practically ready, and we expect further productive work on documents related to reconstruction and economic development."

He also expressed hope that the USA will continue to actively support the negotiation process. The President added that the measures for de-escalation, which began on the night of last Friday, contribute to increasing trust in the negotiations and their possible outcomes.

"The war needs to be ended. We thank everyone who supports us in this," Zelensky noted.

The negotiations in Abu Dhabi are expected to involve the special envoy of the US President, Steve Whitcoff.

After the previous negotiations held on January 23-24 in the UAE, Western media reported that the issue of Donbas remains open. It is reported that the USA is ready to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine, but only after the signing of a peace agreement, insisting on the necessity of a political settlement of territorial issues.
